Castle of Verduno
During the centuries, the castle has been a constant presence in the life of the community and its relations with landowners. The present one was built by Cajssotti at the end of the 1750s and designed by Juvarra. During the nineteenth century, it became the property of King Carlo Alberto of Savoy, who aside from utilizing it as a holiday residence, also built a winery there for the production of Barolo, led by renowned winemaker Staglieno. At the beginning of the twentieth century, the Savoy family transferred ownership of the castle to the Burlotto family, who transformed it into a prestigious hotel, known as "Royal Castle".
